Frequently Asked Questions about Great Dental Websites

Can I use my own domain (ie: www.thedentist.com)?

Yes, once you graduate from trial user to customer, we will help you setup whatever domain you like!  You can then promote this domain on your letterhead, business cards, signs, and other online and offline advertisements.

Will I own all the rights to content created on my dental website?

We were shocked to hear that some dental website companies actually claim ownership of the content they create, and in some cases the content you create! Don't let this happen to you, no matter which company you may choose.

On Great Dental Websites, you own all the rights to the content on your dental site, whether we write it or not. Any pictures, video, or anything else you add to your site is yours as well.

What would the cost be for using one of your templates with our logo on the right side instead of the photo?

Usually we charge $150-200 to adjust a template for you, and you would of course be the only customer that could use that template.

Why don't other companies list their prices on their website?

Two reasons: 1) Because they are generally more expensive, and 2) They charge different customers different prices.  A required phone call will allow them to "feel you out" and take advantage to charge you the highest possible price.

Will switching our current Dental Website to Great Dental Websites adversely affect my current SEO rankings?

Changes to your site can always effect rankings, but generally speaking we never do anything that hurts a site long term. There may be some fluctuations in the short term, however, only these are pretty rare.

In practice, this almost never comes up. I can't think of too many occasions where things went wrong short term, and never long term.

Whether we make changes or we don't make changes, your rankings are always in flux. Google changes their system constantly, so there's no guarantee that doing nothing will maintain the status quo.
